Charlie (Doc Q) Quesenberry
Charlie has been a “folkie” for most of his life. He was inspired to teach himself guitar after hearing John Denver while he was in the service. As the vocal lead, he is backed up by playing 12 and 6-string guitar as well as the unique banjitar. Charlie was a founding member of The Salty Dogs in Maryland, in a duo with Capt. Brad McClary performing sea chanteys and a wide range of maritime music.
Larry started down his musical path in junior high school band and began playing in rock bands at the age of 16. Today, as the other founding member of The Kindred Kilts he holds down the bottom with a large variety of bass guitars as well as lead and backing vocals.
Brenda brings a distinctive dimension to the band’s sound with the pennywhistle, flute, tambourine and vocals. Her musical background goes back to high school band where she played flute and piccolo. Brenda (aka Lady B) focuses her talents now to bring fresh arrangements to the group’s Celtic and Maritime/Pirate repertoire
